INTRODUCTION

RASED is a platform built on CHECK for the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. CHECK smartly worked onlinking the Ministry of Housing various systems and agencies and helped its users obtain acomprehensive vision for managing the operational processes, completing the procedures, andfollowing up on the progress of operations in agencies.

THE CHALLENGES THE MINISTRY OF MUNICIPALITIES AND HOUSING FACED BEFORE UTILIZING “CHECK”

In light of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing’s endeavor to develop services, raise efficiency, managereadiness, and link systems within the ministry, some obstacles and challenges were faced, themost important of which are:

• Automation of all paperwork and its operations.
• Building a data bank for all project models in an electronic system.
• Attempting to facilitate the follow-up of the progress and evaluation of projects in real timeand know their status.
• Facilitating property management and submitting applications through an electronicsystem.
• Facilitating inspections and readiness management.
• Automating the protocols for official visits.
• Attempting to link various systems within the Ministry to give a comprehensive view of all theprograms used.
• Managing violations in a faster way and transferring them to competent departments.
• Building an electronic system that allows entities outside the Ministry; such as citizens,developers, and any other element, to send requests through the Ministry's electronicsystem and create a database for them.
• The need for a follow-up dashboard for the higher administrations and the Minister to showall the data to the departments for follow-up, evaluation, and taking the necessarymeasures.
• The need to build a data center for the Ministry to refer to, if necessary.
